DRYING

If the liquid enzyme product, which has completed the filtration stages, is to be sold in powder form, it is subjected to drying process. In the spray drying process, the concentrated enzyme solution is turned into small powder particles by spraying.

In the next step, the enzyme particles remain cold due to evaporation and never reach the high temperature of the incoming hot air. Thus, the enzyme structure is transferred to powder form without being damaged. The energy required for evaporation can be partially provided by preheating the solution if necessary. This process does not completely separate the enzyme from the water. Low moisture content is always expected in the final product. After the necessary preservatives and additives are added, the powdered enzyme is mixed and ready to be packaged.
